THE BAYLY SCHOLARSHIP
TAWHITI BOY THE .WINNER. Contests for the athletic qualification for the Bayly Memorial Scholarship were conducted at , the Hawera showgrounds yesterday in ideal weather. The programme was expeditiously carried out. Miles Ekdahl, Tawhiti school, Ha\ wera, was the winner from 42 entrants representing 16 Taranaki schools. He obtained 270 'points, which was 130 points in excess of the score of: three boys who tied for second place.
