ONE DEAD OTHER BADLY HURT. SENSATION AT BALTIMORE. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 9.39 p.m. New York, Sept. 23. JMaxwell Byers, president of Western Maryland Railways, and D. G. Gray, vice-’"esident, had a revolver duel in the Standard Oil building at Baltimore. The police said the pair apparently locked themselves in the picsident’s office and “shot it out.” The cause of the dispute is unknown. Crowds outside held up the traffic. The police broke into the room and found Byers dead, with three wounds, one through the heart. A pistol was beside Gray, who was shot in tlie back and chest and badly wounded.
