“CUTTY SARK” DUE TO-DAY

AUCKLAND SEAPLANE’S VISIT. TO LAND AT BREAKWATER. The .seaplane Cutty Sark is expected at New Plymouth between 8.30 and ; 9 o’clock this morning in the course of a tour of possible bases for such craft around the coast of New Zealand. The plane, which will be piloted by Squad-ron-Leader Izard, will leave Auckland early this morning if the weather report at 5.30 a.m. is favourable, and will berth at moorings specially prepared on the east of the Newton King wharf, Moturoa. i The airman will be welcomed by the Mayor of New Plymouth (Mr. H. V. S. Griffiths), the chairman of the Harbour Board (Mr. C. E. Bellringer), the president of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr. L. M. Moss); New Plymouth Aero Club officers and other prominent townspeople. The plane will be refuelled by the Shell Company, and will stay at New Plymouth about two hours.
