The weather will be fair and warm at first, but conditions will; become unsettled soon in western districts from Taranaki southwards with rain developing, More o-enerally unsettled weather will set in after from 2-1 to 30 hours. A series of depressions is advancing across the Tasman Sea. There will be moderate southerly winds veering to northerlies north of Kawhia and East Cape and elsewhere moderate to strong northerlies later reaching gale force in Cook and Foveaux Straits. Seas will be smooth to moderate, but rising south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and Foveaux Straits.
