MAGISTRATE’S COURT
JUDGMENT IN CIVIL CLAIMS. Judgment for plaintiff by default., with costs, was given by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., on the following civil claims at the Hawera Court yesterday.—Hawera Hospital Board v. A. L. Palmer, £l6 Ils 6d; George Preece v. H. E. Keighley, £2O; A. F. Anderson v. John Lane, £2 10s; Arthurs, Ltd., v. T. James, 13s (costs only); Hodder and Tolley, Ltd., v. K. Balsam, £ll 4s; same v. E. R. Metcalfe, 12s (costa only); Hawera Mineral' Water Co., Ltd., v. Mrs. J. A. Maddern, £3 16s 6d; Parkinson and Co., Ltd., v. 11. H. Glentworth, £3 15s. In judgment summons proceedings L. Mosen was ordered to pay £4 10s 6d to Para Rubber Co., Ltd., forthwith, in default five days’ imprisonment. W. Thomason was ordered to pay £9 ISs 6d forthwith to Hodder and Tolley, Ltd., and 15s 6d solicitor’s fees, in default 10 days’ imprisonment. Marina was ordered to pay £7 Is to H. J. Hill and 15s 6d solicitor’s fee, in default seven days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended so long as £1 monthly is paid. To the same creditor, Rahui was ordered to pay £lO 7s 3d and 15s 6d solicitor’s fee and Akaramea to pay £8 3s and 15s 6d solicitor’s fee, warrants of committal to prison to be suspended in each case so long as the debts are reduced by £1 monthly. Tumahaki was ordered to pay £l5 10s 6d and £1 Is solicitor’s fee to McCormick and Co., warrant of committal to prison to be suspended so long as £2 monthly is paid. Toss Pc© was ordered to pay £l3 10s to E. Penfold and £1 Is solicitor’s fee in default 14 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended so long as £2 monthly is paid. H. Hughes was ordered to pay £2 3s forthwith to L. M. Parsonson, in default two days’ imprisonment. Pokau Ngahina was ordered to pay £l2 Is 6d to Ernest Frisk forthwith and £1 Is solicitor’s fee, in default 12 day’s imprisonment. The same defendant was ordered to pay £l6 15s forthwith to E. C. West and £1 Is solicitor’s fee, in default 17 days’ imprisonment. P. Savage was ordered to pay £5 19s 6d forthwith to G'oldstono and Patterson, Ltd., and las 6d solicitor’s fee, in default six days’ imprisonment. To the same creditor C. Young was ordered to pay £6 2s 6d and 15s 6d solicitor’s fee, in default .six days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended until October 20. .
