ENGLISH GIRL MURDERED
RACECOURSE HANGING MYSTERY. NO CLUE TO CRIMINALS FOUND. By Telegraph—Press Assri.—Copyright. London, September 16. . In the inquest into the death of Miss Agnes Keeson, aged 20, who was found dead near the Epsom racecourse, the jury returned a verdict that the girl was murdered by strangulation, but there was insufficient evidence to say by whom. '
The police believed the girl was hanged from a tree in a remote spot and then thrown into the ditch; Extensive bruises on the body showed that Miss Kesson made a terrific straggle for life before she was overcome. It was' suggested that the murderer, or murderers, at first intended to leave the girl hanging in the hope that her death would be regarded as a case of suicide, but subsequently decided to put the body in a motor-car and drop it at a point further along the road.
