MIMI EUCHRE PARTIES. The final of a successful series of euchre and dance parties under the auspices of the Mimi school committee was held in the Mimi school-room on Monday ni<’ht, when large numbers of local residents and visitors were present. Added euchre tournaments by the points prizes offered. Keen interest was taken in the games on Monday night, the pair of towels for the ladies’ prize being won by Mrs. J. Rockett, who secured t°n °anies o-f a possible twelve. Messis. George Baker and S. Luxton, with ten o-ames, tied for the men’s silk scarf, the former winning in the play-ofl. With 46 points to her credit for the senes Mrs G Baker won the ladies points prize (a mat), Mrs. S. Chard with 42 points being the runner-up. The mens points prize (wearing apparel) was won bv Mr. R. Allen with 49 points and Mr. E. Mowat (47 points) was runner--110 The tables were in charge of Messrs. F Sulzberger and Tony Zimmerman. After supper there was dancing to music supplied by Mr. and Mrs. R. Allen. Mr. A. M. Zimmerman was master 01 ceieMr and Mrs. R. Fitzgerald have motored to the Waikato, where they purpose spending a few days holiday.
