Sinclair, discussed the advisability of rebuilding tlie pavilion that was burned. • /, . A decided opinion was held by several members that the : society slrnild hot rebuild a pavilion_ as past experience did not .warrant the; society’s catering for a general tourist' trade. The society pro-. ferred that, private enterprise should undertake the scheme. The society was willing to provide up-to-date facilities for providing hot water. ■-< - - , A committee, consisting of the chairman and Messrs. T.,Fouliy, J. C..Clouston, S. Boyd, J. P. Bfirton and R. liugiison, was appointed to; inspect the sit a and report' at an early date. Harding 99, R 1 Fleming 108, A special meeting of the Opunake branch of the Farmers’ Union was held on Thursday evening. Air. F. Young presided. Mr.' Gbrtinge, of the Agri/ cultural •Department, addressed tin meeting on pig-raising.. The'prize-winners at St. Patrick’s hail euchre, party on Friday evening were: Mrs. D. Ross (I|, Mrs. D. J. Thomas (2), Eric Alagee (f), -Ain R. E. Peat (2). The winners of a special prize were Misses Mollie -Butler and Wickens and Mersts. Roy Geqrge and M. Brennan. Supper was.provided by the Oaonui and Pihania ladies. .
