THE LYING-IN-STATE OF THE LATE SIR MAUI POMARE.—The ashes of the late Sir Maui Pomare, who died in California last month, were brought back to Wellington by the Makura, and after a memorial service at the Pro-Cathedral, were taken to Parliament House, where they remained in the vestibule during the day.
