FOODSTUFFS FOR BRITISH
PURCHASE IN EMPIRE SCHEME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. London, Aug. 26. The British Government is expected to propose to the Imperial Conference! the bulk purchase of foodstuffs and raw material from the Dominions, details of which Mr. J. H. Thomas and members of the Cabinet and- others are working out. It is believed that the Government will propose to. establish, public .utility, undertakings which would buy wool, wheat, meat and other. commodities from the Dominions.
