ELEVEN. DAYS IN DOMINION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Professor J. Hoops and Mrs. Hoops arrived by the Makura this morning on a brief visit to New Zealand as part of a world tour. Professor Hoops occupies the Chair of English Language and Literature at Heidelberg University, Germany. This is his second trip round the world and has embraced Havana, Jamaica, Pern, Costa Rica, Mexico and California. After 11 days in New Zealand the professor and his wife will go to Australia and thence back to Germany via Ceylon and India. At Havana Professor Hoops was. the German delegate to Havana’s University Jubilee and at the bicentenary .international congress at the University of, California he held the position of visiting professor. Professor Hoops., leaves for the South Island to-night.
