In responding the doctor said it was really an advantage for a young club not to reach the forefront too early. For that reason he was rather pleased that he was not this year to congratulate the team on a preponderance of victories. As gained, in experience, however, so the players would improve in standard and he looked forward to a better record each year. Coley, who said the club must be regarded as the most consistent club playing in the northern division. “If Stratford had only beaten Tukapa as Celtic did it would have won the divisional competition again,” he said. The manner in which the two senior clubs in Stratford had worked harmoniously ? together had been one of \ the most pleasant features of the past season, said Mr. Johnston in reply. Celtic was improving-* and he was sure that when the time came for it to attain a premier position the Stratford Club would be the first to congratulate the members.
