MAORI FISHERMAN DROWNED
OVERLOADED DINGHY CAPSIZES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Whakatane, August 9. A native, William Simon, aged 27, was drowned yesterday at Whakatane Heads. His dinghy, overloaded with mussels, capsized and he sank almost immediately, being unable to swim. Two of his companions swam to the shore in an exhausted eondition.d Simon’s body has not yet been recovered.
