ADMIRAL SIR I'EEDERICK I’IKLD. (British Official Wireless). Hee. 6-30 p.m. Rugby, July 30. The appointment of Admiral Sir Frederick Field as First Sea Lord in succession to Admiral of the Fleet Sir Ciuirles Madden dates from to-day. Sir Charles, who was appointed to the post in July, 1927, has spent over half a century in the service. Ho is 67. Sir Frederick, who is 49, entered the service in 1884. He relinquished command of the Mediterranean. licet last -May.
