FINE, COLD WEATHER.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will still be unsettled and showery in eastern districts from Cook Strait northwards, with some scattered showers also on the east coast of the South Island and in North Auckland. Elsewhere it will be fair to fine. Temperatures will still be cold. An anti-cyclone is covering New Zealand, with its centre over the southern portion of the South Island. A cyclone is centred east of Norfolk Island, and barometers are rather low in south-east-ern, Australia. There will be freshening easterly winds north of Auckland, and moderate to strong south-easterly to southerly winds thence southwards to Greymouth and Kaikoura. There will still be a considerable swell between Kaikoura and East Cape, and seas will be rising thence northwards, but otherwise will be' smooth to moderate.
