Arthur Eastwood, cox of the New Zealand eight at the Empire Games, is suffering from illness, believed to be caused by the change of climate. He was discharged from hospital to-day. Four eight-oared shells for the New Zealanders have arrived, as well as Pearce’s To-day practically all the New Zealanders and Australian athletes got down to work. They express the greatest satisfaction with the comfort of their quarters. The New Zealand scullers are fraternising with members of the local Leander Club, with whom they will train.
