BANKRUPT IN COURT

CHARGES AGAINST THOMAS.

ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.

The preliminary hearing, lasting four days, of the charges against Bert Thomas for alleged breaches of the Bankruptcy Act was concluded before Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., in tho New Plymouth Court yesterday. Further formal evidence was heard from Samuel Oliver.

At the end of the hearing Thomas pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial at the August sessions of the Supreme Court in New Plymouth. Bail on the same terms as before was renewed.
