ORGAN FUND BENEFIT

CONCERT AT ST. ANDREW’S HALL.

In spite of inclement weather conditions there was a large attendance at the concert given in St, Andrew’s hall last night for the benefit of the organ fund, and it is expected the fund will benefit materially by • the effort. Excellently arranged, a fine programme of local talent was greatly appreciated. The soloists were heard to advantage In vocal, elocutionary, and pianoforte items, and special mention must be made of the items rendered by the male chsjr. Mr. W. L, Hay and Mrs. McNeill were the organiser's of the concert and the success of the venture is a tribute to their judicious selection. The programme was: Part song, Male Choir; solo, Mr. W. L, Hay; recital, Mr. Gilmore Smith; solo, Miss Jessie Cocker; solo, Miss Flora McDonald; pianoforte solo, Miss Stenhouse;. part .song, .Male Choir; solo, -Miss Doreen Burgess; solo, Miss Jean McNeill; violin solo, Mr. -A.
