.ENTERTAINMENT IN MAORI. STYLE By Telegraph.—Treia Association. Gisborne, July 15. The British Rugby team was welcomed to-day by the Mayor, also Maori residents, who entertained the team at a luncheon prepared in native style. The visitors were greatly intrigued by the cooking methods employed by the oldtime Maori and were surprised by the quality of the product of the earthen ovens. Native performers entertained the tourists during the luncheon, after which the team proceeded to the A. and P. grounds. to witness <steer-riding contents.
