’A deputation representing the four university colleges waited on the Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education, contending that the Taranaki endowments were intended for the benefit of education generally, and should be for Victoria College, Wellington, which was the governing body so fur as education in Taranaki was concerned. Mr. Atmore mentioned having heard the Taranaki deputation that the endowments should be for the benefit of Taranaki children. Now he had heard both sides ami would take an opportunity of placing the whole, matter before Cabinet.
