CAR CRASHES INTO TRAM
WELLINGTON PEOPLE INJURED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 7. When a car was travelling down Goa Street at one o’clock yesterday morning and had reached the junction with Moxham Avenue, it struck the last tram to Kilbirnie sideways on with great force. The motor-car was extensively damaged, and all the occupants were more or less seriously injured. Miss Gwen Jenkins, aged 18, of 144 Raku Road, suffered injuries to her left hip, and shock. She was admitted to hospital. Miss May Hanna, aged 32, of Cleveland Street, injuries to head, concussion and shock.-She was admitted to hospital. Miss Alma Hanna suffered from shock only. The driver of the car, whose name is not known, but who is understood to live in. Wilson Street, received a lacerated wound to the scalp and he wa,s also taken tp hospital, but after having his head dressed was able to go to his home.
