DIFFICULTIES IN SAMOA
ALLEGATION OF INCENDIARISM. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec 7.50 p.m. Apia, July 3. As the result of evidence pointing to incendiarism in the recent fires in the Native Department of Mulinuu and the Post Office at Apia, the police are offering a reward of £5O for the discovery and conviction of the offenders. Five men have been arrested in connection with the recent affray at Papa, Savaii, when Constable Grant was injured. It ie reported that Grant is progressing satisfactorily. The Administrator, Colonel 8. S. Allen, left on Monday bn a visit round Upolu. In his absence his secretary, Mr. Turnbull, is acting-Administrator, The steamer Tofua, which left earlier in the week, carried 11,500 cases of bananas for Auckland. •
