PHILLIPS—EDDOWES.

■ The marriage of Miss Ruby Margaret Eddowes, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Eddowes, Pohara, Bella \ ista Road, Herne Bay, Auckland, to Mr. Will McKay Phillips, second son of Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Phillips, of Stratford, was celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church, Auckland, on June 24. The Rev. Frazer Barton performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her-father, wore a frock of ivory taffeta over shell pink satin beaute. Pouched over one hip and caught with a spray of orange blossom, the skirt fell nr fu lei folds on one side, and was finished with an ankle length hem of ivory net. the yoke and long sleeves of the frock also being composed of net. Her veil of embroidered Brussels net. which formed a train, was arranged on the head with clusters of orange blossom and she. carried an armlet composed of cyclamen, sweet peas and daphne caught .with tulle streamers. In attendance as . bridesmaids . were Miss Eva Eddowes, sister, of the bride, and Miss Margaret Phillips, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in frocks of daffodil georgette with lorn* scalloped capes suspended from the shoulders to the waist-line and uneven hemlines of daffodil silk lace. Thenbats were of daffodil panne velvet gathered in folds at the nape of the neck and they carried armlets of autumntinted flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Colin Smart of New Plymouth, as best man, and Mi. .AEddowes was groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at Pohara, the home of the bride’s parents Mrs. Eddowes to receive -her attests being dressed in a frock of navy blue satin beaute with ft geoigette j oke and sleeves and a diagonally tiered sknt of accordion-pleated georgette. Her black hat was trimmed with ospreys and she carried a cyclamen-shaded bouauet. Mrs. Phillips, the bridegrooms mother, was in a frock of amethyst crepe romaine and a black hat with floral trimming. She carried a bouquet of pansies.
