The Lord Mayor of London, the Governor of the Bank of England, Mr. Lionel de Rothschild, and.the heads of the military, naval and.air .services and prince Takamatsu, and Princess Kikuko, of Japan, visited Croydon aerodrome to-day. They were welcomed by Lord Thomson (Secretary of Air) and Sir Sefton Brancker. The Royal visitors were much impressed by London’s airport. They asked many questions about the up-to-date machines which carry on the air services to the Continent and India. Several pilots were .presented, to them, and they spent nearly half an hour in the control tower watching operators communicating with, the various air lines on their way to and from the Continent.
