PRESS DELEGATES HONOURED
SIR THOMAS IVILFORD'S DINNER. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright London, July 2. ■Sir Thomas Wilford tendered a luncheon to the New Zealand Press conference delegates. He said he was sure that they would benefit incalculably by association and exchange of ideas with men of world-wide experience in the hub of the Empire. He specially welcomed Dlr. L. P, Blundell, one of those who had given the Press of New Zealand the good name it held and undoubtedly deserved in the United Kingdom. He was sure delegates must have been struck with the high appreciation of New Zealand here, Mr. W. R. Wilson (Auckland) said the delegates had been treated right royally. They owed a great debt of gratitude to the leaders of the Press of Great Britain, who had done everything to make the visit enjoyable. Mr. Gilmour (Invercargill), in proposing Sir Thomas Wilford’s health, endorsed Mr. Wilson’s remarks. The delegates then sang the Maori version of “He’s a Jolly Good Fellow/’
