REFEREES FOR SATURDAY’S PLAY. INSPECTION OF BOOTS ORDERED. Referees were selected last night for Saturday’s Rugby games in North Taranaki. As complaints had been received from St. John . Ambulance attendants that numbers of injuries were being received because, it was said, of nails projecting from sprigs in players’ boots, referees were instructed to inspect all players’ boots at intervals during the season.
