Deliveries of New Zealand butter for the week were 1082 tons, compared with 600 tons for the corresponding week last year. The quantity in store was 10,531 tons, as against 8764 tons a year ago. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese for the week were 17,951 crates, as against 24,754 crates a year ago. The quantity in store was 123,623 crates, compared with 119,213 crates a year ago. . The Rangitiki finished discharging her butter and cheese on June 10. The Port Fairy. started discharging her cheese on June 10 and finished next day. She started discharging her butter on June 11, and finished next. day. Deliveries of Canadian cheese, for the week were 1239 boxes, as against 5629 boxes for the corresponding week of last year. The qiiantity in store was 96,163 boxes, as against 56,834 boxes a ! year ago. Shipments for London. Two shipments, totalling 30,787 boxes of butter and 21,264 crates ; of . cheese, left Wellington last week by the Coptic and the Port Adelaide, which’ sailed on Thursday. The former- ship- took 4749 boxes of butter (4320 salted, 270 unsalted, and 159 whey), and 5969 crates of cheese (3935 white and 2034 coloured). The Port Adelaide took 26,038 boxes of butter (24,692 salted, 1226 unsalted, and 120 whey), and 15,295 crates of cheese (11,642 white and 3653 coloured). FROZEN MEAT TRADE. GOOD DEMAND FOR LAMB. Lamb. —Market keeps firm. Consumption continues good. Mutton market: Lightweight wethers unchanged. Better inquiry for heavy weight wethers. Ewes market is dull. Beef: Market is depressed owing to heavy arrivals from Argentine. New Zealand pigs and New Zealand baconer pigs: Nominal prices.
