RIFLE SHOOTING MATCHES
COMPETITIONS FOR THE BUTTON. The ladies’ branch of the New Plymouth Miniature Rifle Club held the weekly shoot on Tuesday evening. The button was won by Miss Kretschmar with -a score, of 49. Details are:—
Owing to counter-attractions only a small number competed in the men’s shoot. Marett again won the button with a total of 65. The previous week’s competition was won by Deputy-Presi-dent George. Scores are: — Championship.—George, Ramson and Short, 65; Marett, 63; G. Tavendale, J. Tavendale and Dixon, 59. Handicap.—Ramson, 65 —4 —69; G.
