meeting of ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the executive of the Taranaki Boxing Association was held last night, when there were present Messrs, J, Garcia (chairman),-W. Roebuck, R. Harvey, V. S. Pruden, A. Hine, J. Horlor, A. F. Aldie and E. J. Carr (lion, secretary). The chairman reported at length, on the conference at Wellington regarding breaches of the rules in connect ion with

purses. The report was adopted and be was accorded a vote of thanks. Mr. Aldie reporte dthat lie had interviewed Johnny Leckie when in Napier and the latter had definitely agreed to box the return bout with Donovan at New Plymouth, but the date could not be finalised at present owing to Leckie’s engagements. notifying that he was willing to meet Donovan in a return bout at New Plymouth. Arrangements were finalised in connection with the Donovan v. Bloom bout at New Plymouth on June 26. Mr. R. championships being set for decision in August, it was resolved to circularise the other Taranaki associations with a view to arranging for the holding of the Taranaki championships.
