Two outstanding values in silk hose have just opened out at the Melbourne, Ltd. These comprise a shipment of- the famous “Maid of Honour” full fashioned service weight stockings at 9/6 pair, and a wonderful new line of full fashioned silk hose, "Bestex,” at 8/6 pair. Arrangements have now been made to enable farmers to see the results of the spraying of ragwort with sodium chlorate that has been carried out duping the past season on Mr. W. Hooker’s property at Waipuku. Various sprays at varying strengths have been used, and the results of the various methods adopted are well worthy of inspection.
