U.S.A. RELEASES DISCARDED SHIP

The Shipping Board to-day decided to permit Sir Hubert Wilkins to charter the discarded navy submarine Pl2 for a term not exceeding five years at a dollar per year rental. It ie announced that Mr Sloan Davenhower, formerly a lieutenant-comman-der of the Naval Reserve and president of the Lake Davenhower Company, shipbuilders, will be master of the submarine Pl2 for Sir Hubert. The vessel may be retained until July 1, 1&36, when it must be returned to be scrapped according to the London Treaty.
