Only tho industries manufacturing perishable goods will operate here on Saturdays, this being a voluntary move by the Manufacturers’ Association to assist in the conservation of the Waipori River’s rapidly dwindling reserve of water. A restricted-tram service will be inaugurated on Monday. A light drizzle last night registered only .02 inches.
