LIGHTS OF SMALL STEAMER. UNEXPLAINED DISAPPEARANCE. Bj Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 9.5 p.m. . ’ Sydney, May 6. The Navigation Department at Sydney has received a message from the eteanicr Taranaki, which is off the Queensland coast, that the crew saw the lights of a small steamer proceeding west off Cape Cleveland last night, and suddenly the lights disappeared. A search was made,.but nothing was found. The sea at the time was moderate. Ihe ■matter remains a mystery.
