WEARY CREWS FIGHT FLAMES.

Rec. 7.30 p.m. New York, May 5. ’While weary crews are still fighting fires in nine States rumours are circulating that the New Jersey pine forests are being swept by disastrous fires from the scattered embers of yesterday's conflagrations. Two villages have been destroyed and two towns are menaced. Many men have been injured while fighting the flames. The weather conditions are particularly bad in the burning areas.
