AGRICULTURAL FIELD DAY
MANURE EXPERIMENTS CONDUCT
(RESULTS ON TIKORANGI FARM.
With a view -to determining the best manures or manure mixtures to use in different districts, the Department of Agriculture has been supervising co-op-erative top-dressing experiments in certain districts in Taranaki. -Ono of these has been under way on Mr,.J. H. Paulger’s property, Tikorjngi, for .about! four years and the results now to be seen'■ on-these 'plots ' are extremely interesting. The response from potash used has been very marked in the trials,, and the results from phospha tic manures' make interesting comparisons. To enable farmers to see these re--suits-for themselves so that they can draw their own conclusions, the department will conduct a field day at : Mr. .'Paulgcr’s place ;on Tuesday, and an invitation has been extended to all interested to attend. To the Tikorangi farmers the results will be of tlie greatest 'value owing to their local significance. ‘ .
