RE-OPENING OF COAL MINES
EMPLOYERS TO TAKE ACTION.
VOLUNTEERS AVAILABLE. By Telegraph—Proas Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 7.55 p.m. Sydney, May 2. The colliery proprietors are meeting on Tuesday, when decisive action will be taken to reopen the idle northern pits. The chairman of the Northern Collieries’ Association stated: “We have lists of volunteers all completely tabulated and graded and can start certain sections of the principal mines immediately.”
