PETROL TANKS EXPLODE
FACTORY BURNS FIERCELY.
FAMILIES DASH EROM HOMES.

Rec. 1L45 p.m. London, May I. Nearly 100 families dashed’from their homes clad in night clothes when a fire occurred in a Walthamstow factory. Mothers, terrified, wrapped their children in blankets and rushed them to safety in the streets. The flames were accompanied by a ecries of alarming explosions which were heard for mißo around. They wore caused by bursting petrol tanks. Piccca of timber flew high in the air and several persons narrowly escaped injury. Thousands of gallons of water were poured into the building unavailingly. It wae burnt to the ground in less than an hour.
