Delhi, April 28.
Gandhi, having failed in his campaign to break the salt law's, is now directing his attention towards, preventing- the sale of native liquor by a system of picketing by Congress volunteers. This new movement is expected to degenerate, as has the salt movement, into violence.
The 16ss of revenue to the Government of India if the drink traffic were abolished would be nearly £14,000,000.
Gandhi’s efforts to secure the resignation of Government officials with the object of paralysing the administration is almost a complete failure except in the district of Gujerat. i
