Rec. 8.10 p.m. Sydney, April -29. The Postal Department here advises that bags of mail matter from Glasgow and Manchester received by the liner Mooltan, now in Sydney, were pillaged in transit. The bags contained a number of registered articles, which [ are missing. ~ It is further reported from Perth that a registered mailbag has been stolen from "the liner Chitral, now en route to Sydney, and the lists of consignees are also missing. It will be difficult to trace the senders.
