Rome, April 27.
Five warships were launched and the keel of a giant liner of 45,000 tons was laid down on a single day, which was observed as a public holiday at all the ports concerned.
The warships consist of two 10,000-ton cruisers, each carrying three seaplanes, two scout ships, capable of doing 37 knots, and a 800-ton submarine.
The new liner will be the largest and most luxurious Italian ship afloat and will carry 2250 passengers.
