Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be unsettled generally with rain over the North Island and some heavy falls in the northern and eastern portions. It will be showery also over the South Island with thunder in places. Temperatures will become colder. Winds will be moderate to strong northerlies at first north of Greymouth and Kaikoura but southerlies prevailing thence southward and extending northwards over the whole Dominion within 24 hours. Seas will be rather rough on all the east coast and south of Cape Egmont; moderate north of Cape Egmont and improving generally on the west coast.
