NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL Ji SPECIAL LOAN OF £5590. ’J’HE New Plymouth Borough Council hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow the sum of £5500 P by way of Special Loan under ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1923.” (a) The particular purpose for -which the Loan is required is:— £5500: To construct duplications of the track of the Council’s Electric Tramways at different places in Devon Street and St. Aubyn Street in the Borough of New Plymouth including in such pur- : pose the provision of all plant ap- ■ , pliances, materials and other j ! things necessary or useful there- j \ for and any matter or thing in- j i cidental or in relation to the said j purpose. (b) The sum to be borrowed for such . purpose is £5500 at a rate of in- | terest not exceeding £5 10s per I centum per annum, with a sinking, fund of Three pounds (£3) per centum per annum additional. (c) The proposed security for the said Loan of £SSOC and the interest and sinking fund thereon is an annually recurring special rate of oneeleventh of a penny (1-llth d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the said Borough of New Plymouth, - and it is proposed to repay the said Loan on the first day of April, 1950.'

(d) It is proposed to pay out of the said Loan the cost of raising the said Loan, but not the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year.
