DRAUGHTS CHAMPIONSHIP
PROGRESS OF TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association Invercargill, Last Night. The Dominion draughts tournament was continued to-day when the fourteenth round was completed in most cases and the fifteenth round in some instances. Play continued to be of a high standard —competent observers claim that the standard is the highest seen in tournaments for many years.. Tho Southland veteran H. Morris scored a win from J. R. Clark, who had previously been unbeaten. J. Scott and J. Boreham met in two strenuous games, both being drawn. J. Sutherland scored a game from R. Dotting, and Botting was also beaten by Clark. During the evening session there were some very even games, particularly between Clark and J. Lucas and D. Calderwood and J. Scott. Results of the play to date are: — p W D L Pts.
