CONGRESS OF PEASANTS
FEW DELEGATES ARRESTED NOT APPROVED BY POLICE DEPORTATION WILL FOLLOW By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.5 p.m. Berlin, March 31. The first European peasant congress, opened in Berlin, is announced as an important step in international co-operation. The police, however, were unsympathetic and arrested two dozen visiting delegates on the grounds that they were without passports. They state the principal initiators of the congress are in close connection with the Kremlin. Those arrested include 17 described . as Poles, four Czechs and two Russians. It is expected they will be immediately expelled.
