WORK FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
METHODIST CHURCH PLANS.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Wellington, Last Night. The Methodist Conference to-day approved of the establishment of a central youth office in 1031, and also that the Young People’s Board be moved to Wellington in 1931,
Viewing with concern the fact that approximately 90,000 children in New Zealand receive no definite Christian. training, the conference recommended that in accordance with the desire of the conference on national religious education the Methodist Churches throughout New Zealand join in a co-operative effort with other, churches wherever practicable to recruit more children for the Sunday schools.
Congratulations were tendered to the Revs. J. J. Lewis, W. J. Williams and C. E. Ward on having ■ attained the diamond jubilee of their ministry.
