Grose (Canterbury), a former mile champion, was in good form, winning each of the four events in. which he. competed. He won the one and a-half mile and the three mile handicaps from scratch in good time and the two mile scratch lap race and quarter-mile scratch race. ' He rode brilliantly, reproducing his form of two seasons ago. S. Campbell (Canterbury), won the three-quarters of a mile Otago cycling championship and was placed in several other events.
