SHOOTING UNDER DIFFICULTIES. The third series of shooting for the John Putt Cup was fired on the Okato rifle range on Saturday, when the conditions were anything but good. When the competitors were firing at 500 yards a strong right wind suddenly sprang up and was accompanied by heavy rain, which continued right throughout the shoot. The stores therefore were con-
