KAIMATA. The Kaimata Hall on Thursday evening presented a gay scene, many young people dancing to the music of Harris’ Orchestra. The novelty dances were won by Miss Loveridge and Mr. Jolson, Miss May Tippins and Mr. D. Drake. Supper was dispensed by the lad : ?s of the committee. The success of the evening was due to the effects of an energetic Committee comprising Mr. G. Salisbury (chairman), Mr. G. Burmell (secretary), Misses E. Dobson, L. Collingwood, Marjorie .and. May Tippins, R. Collingwood, and Messrs. S. Riley, Leo and Eric Bocock. A lorry-load of young people from Kaimata went for a trip to the mountain during the week-end and had an enjoyable time. . .' ' . •• Mr. G. Mitchell, Rarotonga, who has been the guest of Mr. A. E. Burmell, has left for Feilding. Mr. and Mrs. A. Jordan and son, New Plymouth, have been visiting Mrs. Salisbury.
Mr. Jackson has recovered from his illness and recommenced work.
