SECTION PLAY CONCLUDED VOGELTOWN THE ARENA TO-DAY. m SEVENTEEN TO DECIDE THE ISSUE. « , The section play in the twenty-fifth annual Taranaki bowling tournament was continued yesterday. The threatening rain held off, enabling the games to be concluded. Showers of rain fell prior to midday, but the morning play was finished and little better could be wishedfor in the weather conditions that prevailed during the afternoon. Much attention was focussed on the seventh and eighth rounds, the fortunes of many rinks hanging in the balance, but the tricky wind; and the changing light tripped many of the no-vice-teams, leaving 17 to fight out the -post-section play. Two lives are attached to this -tournament to 1 begin—the champions of the the • venue of play to-day will be the Vdgel- . town' green.
