FREEZING-COMPANY’S LOSS

In his address the chairman of directors, Mr. H. A. Knight, said that among other problems was the fundamental fact that there were more freezing works than were necessary to handle the available supplies, and so long as that. persisted so long would expenses throughout New Zealand be so high . . • . ' ’ The company’s-profit and loss account showed a loss on the year’s operations of £105,406, which-had been met by a transfer from the provisions for contingencies of £lOO,OOO, leaving a balance to be carried forward to credit of £39,103.
